I'm likely to die in the streets for being me,
But don't nobody give a fuck.
Murder our sons and our daughters and walk free,
But don't nobody give a fuck.
How come we never make the news or tv?
Cuz don't nobody give a fuck.
You're financially benefiting from our tragedy,
Thats why you don't give a fuck.
Don't act like you don't give a fuck.
Three hundred million people waiting for me to lose my grip
On the control that I've salvaged
So they can lock me in their cages and the pages of history books
And label me a savage.
Perpetuated stereotypes all alike in a society thats trying to erase me
While simultaneously forcing me to forgive the past.
Cuz its never changing.
I'm a walking relic with a fucking target on my back.
I wonder if I'll ever get the chance
To thrive of opportunities that everybody else has?
After they stole all the land.
I'm broke as fuck.
I'm tired and way too stressed out
But I can't let you see it now,
Cuz you'll call me "weak,"
a "fucking failure" a "drunk"
Anything you can think of to keep me from rising above it.
I'm losing cousins by the dozens but it doesn't seem to be enough
To warrant any coverage like media is covering up
A war thats been entrusted in the companies that profit off the oil
By the governments thats lusting for the blood thats in our soil.
Poison the water and land and watch as it burns
And now they're hunting our women an now they're hunting the girls
Non binary bodies hanging but its not your concern
We're catching bullets in the back but its not your concern
Don't trip keep it steady while you're stepping over the bodies
Belonging to our familes
While you're marching for equality.

We used to see the stars at night
We would stare in to the sky and wish upon a satellite
But I can't see the sunrise anymore
Its covered by all these roof tops
With rents a I can't afford
Surviving in the shadows casted down from a class war
I've noticed that the stars won't tell their stories anymore
Nothing ever stays gold
Thats what I'm told
Oh I'm riding through the city where I got grown
Neighborhoods full of houses that I'll never own
I'm not wanted here no more
I'm not wanted here no more
All paintings that used to line the streets
On stores owned by minorities
Have all been painted over and the stores have all been closed
By people unaffected
Who adopt causes just to perform
"Land Back" and "Black Lives Matter" signs
Hang on our stolen doors
I fear the day they come to take my parents home away
For somebody with mom and dad money
Who's moved to town and wants to stake a claim
Pushing the ones I love out on the streets
Where nobody has any empathy
Nobody has any
Oh I'm riding through the city where I got grown
Neighborhoods full of houses that I'll never own
I'm not wanted here no more
I'm not wanted here no more

Great Escape

Destined for greatness
But can't escape the feeling
I'm losing grip of who I am
And what it is I'm meant to be
The crowd is calling
My heart is pounding
Throwing dirt on my grave
While I'm planning my escape
I have no money and no car to get away
I'm getting older by the day
Time is slipping away
But still I wait
Still I'm waiting for this place to make a change
But nothing will change
Nothing will change for me
Too much to prove and nothing to lose
I'm not giving up on hope
I refuse I refuse
To live a life not worthy of the fight put up to bring me to this world
Too much to prove and nothing to lose
No I'm not afraid
I'm not afraid of
Tomorrow cuz the future belongs to those who believe in their dreams
I've never had a problem with telling whats on my mind
I gift that I've been given
A curse I'm still surviving
And I'm fighting every day
I promise that this world will be mine
I'm never giving up the fight
I have no money and no care to get away
I'm getting older by the day
Time is slipping away
But still I wait
Still I'm waiting for this place to make a change
But nothing will change
Nothing will change for me
Too much to prove and nothing to lose
I'm not giving up on hope
I refuse I refuse
To live a life not worthy of the fight put up to bring me to this world
Too much to prove and nothing to lose
No I'm not afraid
I'm not afraid of
Tomorrow cuz the future belongs to those who believe in their dreams

It hit you with no warning
Like a bullet in the dark
Shooting for your head but hit your chest
Another faithful night of drinking
Leads to strangers in your bed
A night she never felt but wont forget
Nine months come an pass
And you get a call
You thought you were a man
But you were wrong
You can run
You can run
You can run
But she's gonna find you
You can run
You can run
You can run
But she's gonna find you
With every single step
You try to escape responsibility
You can run
You can run
She's got a baby that looks just like you
So you left for California
Hoping everything would change
Hoping everything would disappear
Now she's on a bus to find you
Determination's in her eyes
Boy you really have out done yourself this time
You changed your name and number
Became a lie
She's standing at your door
No where to hide
You can run
You can run
You can run
But she's gonna find you
You can run
You can run
You can run
But she's gonna find you
With every single step
You try to escape responsibility
You can run
You can run
She's got a baby that looks just like you
Rudy
Its a message to you Rudy
You can run
You can run
You can run
But she's gonna find you
You can run
You can run
You can run
But she's gonna find you
With every single step
You try to escape responsibility
You can run
You can run
She's got a baby that looks just like you

We Will Remain

Does it ever feel like we're through a constant state of trauma?
Undeserving of the way they keep insisting that we're the problem
Covering up their crimes with lies to absolve them
But we are living proof of truth
In our eyes it survives
And it can't be denied
Can't keep us down
Can't keep us down
Can't keep us down
Can't keep us down
The only way to beat oppression is through our own education
Learn what you can and bring it back in to your reservation
Representation that replaces the perpetuated lies
That this manifest destiny has created
So if we're living then we're living for a reason
If we're leaving we're not dying on our knees
Heads high braids tight keep it moving
Never forget that we are always in our home
Can't keep us down
Can't keep us down
Can't keep us down
Can't keep us down
We will remain
We will remain
We will remain
We will remain
